Haydock hotel manager wins national award




Brian Tate, night manager from the Ramada Encore Hotel in Haydock has won a national award naming him as the ‘Star’ employee of the year for New World Hotels.




Brian has worked for the hotel for one year and has helped the hotel to build a fantastic reputation with many business and leisure guests across the UK, who visit the hotel each week.



As well as being given an award, Brian has also won £600 worth of vouchers to put towards a holiday.




Brian won the award after he was nominated by other members of staff at the Haydock hotel and was then judged against other hotel staff in New World Hotels across the UK.




Kelly-Ann Grimes, New World Hotels Operations Director, said: “Since Brian has been in the role we have had numerous comments and letters from guests thanking Brian for his hard work and recognising the additional help he often gives our guests.




“We are proud to have him work for us and wanted to recognise him for his continual hard work.”

New World Hotels manages fit-out for Ramada Gateshead


New World Hotels is proud to annouce it has been selected to manage the fit-out of the new Ramada Hotel in Gateshead.


The hotel will be managed by Wyndham Hotel Group and is planned to open in 2012.


New World Hotels will be responsible for the fit-out of the hotels bedrooms, public areas and meeting space.


The hotel is planned to have 202 bedrooms and will be built in the Baltic Business Quarter.

Ramada Encore Haydock works with local school


Ramada Encore Haydock, offers support to local school



Pupils from the English Martyrs School, Haydock, will be holding a junior apprentice style meeting at The Ramada Encore Hotel, as part of its support for the school. (Friday, March 18th 9.30am – 11am)

The hotel is supporting the school with projects and has launched the relationship with a special day for the school council which comprises of ten pupils who will all visit the hotel for their March meeting which will be held in a conference room where ways the school and hotel can work together will be discussed by the pupils.

Deborah Webster, Deputy Headmistress from the school said: “The meeting is a great idea for the pupils as they will be treated like any official council meeting and they will sit at a board table with flipcharts, memo pads, teas and coffees.”

The Ramada Encore Hotel in Haydock, is keen to work with local businesses within its community and will be working with the school to provide support on recycling projects, raffle prizes for the year to help the school raise money, offering a venue for meetings for the teachers and competition prizes for the children and their families.

Resident manager at The Ramada Encore Hotel, Dawne Carter said: “We are pleased we are able to assist the school in a way which can help the pupils and also help to raise money for the school.”

The Hotel has also arranged a Mother’s Day competition for the school pupils who can win a meal for a family of 4 at the hotel for the best designed card. All the cards entered into the competition will be displayed at the hotel.
