LOCAL COMPANY BACKS ST HELENS BUSINESSES WITH FREE TRAINING SUPPORT
Local businesses which have slashed spend on training and developing staff during the recession are being offered a helping hand by The Ramada Encore Haydock.
The hotel is offering any local business a free meeting room during July and August which they can use to help and develop their business and use the room for holding any kind of external meeting, training days or team building.
Resident manager of the Ramada Encore Haydock, Peter Farrell, said: “Many businesses have had to cut costs on external training during the past year and as a result have struggled as they are not able to train staff, or hold meetings as effectively as they have in the past.
“We have seen many private companies struggle to stay in business and have compromised some of the things they have valued in the past, such as off-site meetings, which although may not seem important, are actually vital to staff moral and team building and offer a change of scenery away from the workplace, which is often useful.
“We are willing to offer local companies a break by wavering the cost of hiring a meeting room with us during July and August.”
In addition the special offer also includes free ice cream for all delegates to celebrate the summer months.
The Ramada Encore Haydock has 6 meeting rooms available with free car parking and free WI-FI.
Any local businesses which would be interested in benefitting from a free meeting room should call the hotel directly on 01942 290040 or email their request to sales@encorehaydock.co.uk

York Pavilion Hotel Celebrates 21st Birthday

“HOTEL WITH PERSONALITY”
THE BEST WESTERN YORK PAVILION

The York Pavilion Hotel, once entertained famous singers such as The Beatles and actors as the home of the honoured composer John Barry OBE, who is best known for composing the James Bond soundtracks.
The hotel was transformed into a classic Georgian House Hotel 21 years ago, when current owners Irene and Andrew Cossins bought the house from John Barry, who then moved to Hollywood!
The hotel is still full of personality and hints at its theatrical past with lavish decor, theatre posters from the past, a piano for entertainment and regular social evenings and celebrations. The hotel’s walls are also decorated with photographs of past special occasions and the owners take pride in keeping the hotel alive with a theatrical atmosphere.
To celebrate the 21st anniversary of the hotel in April, Andrew and Irene Cossins will be hosting a special evening for past guests, staff and supporters of the hotel to thank them for their continued help and support.
During the 21 years the hotel has continued to invest in the beautiful and imposing Georgian House and has extended its number of bedrooms and rooms for special events including weddings which take place in the hotel every week.
Irene Cossins said: “It does not seem long ago that we moved into a rather tired old house and started the long journey of development with the Hotel. We have assembled the best in the market to take the Hotel successfully into its next phase of the story.”
